THE Subic Bay Regional Development Master Plan has already been finished, the Department of Finance (DoF) announced on Tuesday, with the help of a survey mission team from the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

The master plan, it said in a statement on Tuesday, is a blueprint for maximizing the economic development potentials of Subic Bay and its neighboring areas.

It envisions the economic future of the Subic Bay region and concrete development proposals in both the public and private sectors, with which the Philippine government unlocks the full potentials of Subic Bay, including port capacity and connectivity with its hinterlands, in order to aid ongoing efforts to decongest Metro Manila, the DoF highlighted.
